Apiary Meeting – May

The weather forecast is looking very good.

Whatwill be happening?

• 7 members who are taking their Basic Assessment will be doing some practice disease inspections as part of their preparation.
• Routine weekly inspections of the colonies.
• If we get the opportunity a demonstration and some practice on marking and clipping queens (using drones to practice on)
• 3 visitors from Finham school – where they are setting up a school apiary site.
• Training on how to use a refractometer.
• If you ordered gloves or a refractometer – they will be available for distribution.
• Chatting about bees and drinking teas and coffees.  I don’t know if any cakes will be visiting the apiary site
